I am an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP)

As a therapist I aim to provide a supportive and encouraging environment. It is important to me to demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to my clients' feelings and emotions. I feel that through nurturing and valuing my clients' strengths and resources, opportunity is provided to explore their individual experience of distress and encourage insight into patterns of behaviour that may be preventing them from leading fulfilling and satisfying lives.

I have more than nine years experience in the area of social care working with individuals, families and adolescents in trauma. I have worked in the areas of abuse, addiction and homeless services.

Some of the areas I work with are Sexuality ( LGBTQ ), Abuse, Domestic Violence, Self harm, Relationships, Depression, Low Self-esteem, Anxiety, or any emotional issue that is causing stress in an individuals life.

My approach is Integrative and I draw on a background of Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Cognitive Training. I also hold a degree in Law. I have additional training in Management & Marketing

As a therapist I aim to provide a safe and supportive environment as I understand the need to feel safe in order to be able to explore experiences, thoughts and feelings, both past and present. I believe that people have the potential to understand themselves and the ability to solve their own problems. Therefore, I see my work as a therapist as a collaboration in which I aim to support my clients in their struggle, as they find their own solutions to their concerns and issues.

I provide counselling and psychotherapy for individuals to resolve present and past difficulties and change their lives for the better. My approach is Integrative and I draw on a background of Psychodynamic, Humanistic, CBT & Bodywork training. My professional experience includes working in social care for more than seven years and I have worked with Domestic Abuse, Homelessness and Addiction. I have further training in Addiction Counselling.

Some of the issues I work with are: Sexuality (LGBTQ) , Depression & Anxiety, Self-esteem, confidence & assertiveness, Relationships, Grief, loss, separation & relationship break-down, Addiction, Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse, Stress

“I know how difficult it can be to turn to therapy.  Dealing with emotional pain needs a collaborative, non-judgemental, warm space where difficulties can be voiced and behaviours explored in a sensitive and confidential manner.  Objectively supporting my client’s within a secure and respectful environment is an important aspect to my work here at Aria Therapy.  Having somebody who listens does help.”
